Final Submission Instruction
Submission of camera-ready regular and special session papers
1. Final Paper Formatting Instructions, read carefully
Please format your final paper as a PDF file in the IEEE conference proceedings 8.5″x11″ two-column format using the following templates
Please take into account that these templates have been updated with respect to those used in the submission phase. In particular, the templates now contain the correct copyright information. Using the new templates will not change the paper length, but simply add the correct copyright string in the footnote of the first page. Authors using the LaTeX template need to recompile their paper using the new style files. Authors using MS Word can simply paste the correct footnote into their file and generate a new pdf file. Papers can be up to 6 pages.
Special notes: If all authors of your paper are employed by the US government, the copyright notice shall be change to: U.S. Government work not protected by U.S. copyright. If all authors are employed by a Crown government (UK, Canada, and Australia), the copyright notice is: 978-1-4799-5896-2/14/$31.00 ©2014 Crown.
2. PDF eXpress Plus Online File Conversion/PDF Validation Tool
All papers submitted for publication must meet the IEEE standards. Access to PDF eXpress Plus, the IEEE’s online file conversion/PDF validation tool, will assist authors in preparing suitable electronic files of their final papers. PDF eXpress Plus helps authors convert their papers into IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF files (conversion function) or to check their own PDF files for IEEE Xplore compatibility (PDF validation function).
Important: After using PDF eXpress Plus, you will still need to submit the IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF file of your final paper later in this publication submission process. Go to http://www.pdf-express.org/plus and follow the instructions.
Use conference ID: 34016XP
If you would like to create your own PDF file, please change the setting on your PDF distiller to ensure your paper meets IEEE PDF specifications. Basic PDF distiller settings MUST be changed to:
Optimized, Acrobat 5.0 compatibility, ALL graphics at least 300 dpi resolution (higher if preferred), ALL fonts MUST be embedded and subset, Postscript settings DO NOT override distiller settings, Page size is 612.0 x 792.0 points
IMPORTANT: Authors must check their final PDF files before submission to verify that all fonts have been properly embedded and subset. Some font manufacturers now flag their fonts to not embed. These fonts must be avoided.
3. Final Paper PDF File Submission on PDF eXpress Plus
When you are happy with the PDF file, submit your paper through PDF eXpress Plus and make sure it passes the PDF check. Afterwards, click on the “approve for collection” link. The certified acceptable file you receive from PDF eXpress will be given a filename in the form PID123456.pdf. You must rename this exact file to conform to the following naming convention: lastname-paperID.pdf, where lastname is the last name of the first author, and paperID is the paper ID assigned to the submission. After having renamed your pdf file please press the “approve for collection” link for final uploading.
4. Final Paper PDF File & Copyright Form Submission on CMT
